Free training is imparted to poor/needy girls and women to become self-reliant. After successful completion, they are awarded certificates and sewing machines.
Our Ambulance Service is available day and night. We are presently operating 5 ambulances in Patiala for patients and injured persons. More than 5,000 needy people have been provided free assistance through this service.
Medicines, treatment facilities, medical aid and implant surgery materials for operations are regularly provided to poor and needy patients. More than 10,000 helpless and needy patients have benefited. Over 250 medical checkup camps have also been organized across the region.
We assist destitute, orphaned, and fatherless students from various schools and colleges. We provide books, school fees, uniforms, stationery, benches, fans, LED lights and LED TVs for smart learning. Over 30,000 students have been supported so far.

The committee has assisted in the marriages of more than 1,100 poor and orphan girls by providing ration, sewing machines, and essential household items. We also provide pension support to 50 needy elderly persons and widows to help them live with dignity and respect.
We organize Patiala Marathons to promote health, fitness, and environmental awareness among the youth and citizens.
With the coordination of Luxmi Bai Dental College Patiala, a free rural Dental Clinic at Janhit Samiti Bhawan, Vill. Raipur Mandan, offers free checkups and consultations to the needy.
Under the Clean India & Go Green missions, we have adopted 8 parks in Baradari Garden. Volunteers regularly plant trees, install tree-guards, dustbins, and run sanitation drives.
We organize regular drives to distribute blankets, warm clothes, ration kits, school items, and other essentials to the poor and needy families across Patiala.
The committee serves society by providing Cremation Van and Deep Freezer services for bereaved families during their most difficult times, ensuring dignified last rites.
Wheel Chairs, Stretchers and Woollen Blankets have been donated in Rajindra Hospital, Mata Kaushalya Hospital, TB Hospital and Civil Dispensary Tripuri for the welfare of needy patients.
Try Cycles and Wheel Chairs are regularly provided to handicapped persons and needy patients to help them live with dignity and independence in their daily lives.
By organizing more than 70 blood donation camps, the committee has performed the noble work of saving countless precious lives across Patiala and surrounding areas.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee provided ration, medicines, oxygen cylinders and emergency assistance on a large scale to needy and affected families across the region.
At Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, a Sarai for patients' attendants was constructed in memory of Late Shri Om Parkash Kaushish Ji and is being managed excellently by Janhit Samiti.
Water Coolers have been installed at Polo Ground, Baradari Gardens and District Courts Patiala. Benches have been placed in parks and dustbins installed across nearly all parks of Patiala city.
Children's Parks, Open Gym, Washroom facilities and children's swings have been installed and maintained in Baradari Gardens. The New Mitti Ground for children's sports is also maintained. Regular Guldaudi (Chrysanthemum) Flower Shows are also organized to promote environmental awareness and gardening among citizens of Patiala.
Traffic cones installed at Leela Bhawan Chowk, Phowara Chowk and Khanda Chowk. Thousands of reflector stickers installed on four-wheelers and tractor trolleys to prevent accidents in foggy weather. The committee also actively assists local authorities in maintaining traffic discipline across Patiala.
Janhit Samiti volunteers visit Central Jail, Patiala to conduct lectures and literacy classes for illiterate and underprivileged prisoners. The programme focuses on basic reading & writing, vocational skills, legal awareness, and moral values ๏ฟฝ giving inmates a chance to rebuild their lives with knowledge and dignity after release.
